Urban Jazz Dance Company

Urban Jazz Dance Company will present a mixed bill of work exploring issues affecting the international Deaf community. The company interweave American sign language with urban jazz rhythms.
Deaf’s IMPRISONED explores what it means to be living in a “prison within a prison” as a D/deaf person in the criminal justice system. The evening will explore the tension between Deaf utopia and Deaf diaspora.
LDIF+ Showcase Performance

Bringing together the work of three contemporary choreographers,Jeanguy Saintus, Alesandra Seutin and Thomas Talawa Prestø, LDIF+ participants will present their learning from three days of intensive training in an exciting showcase performance. The LDIF+ Showcase Performance is a unique opportunity to dance that fuses African traditions, Caribbean movement, urban dance and contemporary practice.
